EDUCATION
Clips & Scripts was an after school Film Club sponsored by 3 Chicks Flicks at Sussex County Charter School for Technology in Sparta, NJ in 2023-2024 school year.
If your school is interested we can teach you how to teach the kids. Just write us an email.
The club's design was to teach the middle school students basic filmmaking. The students wrote a script, learned pre-poduction, shot the film, edited the film and learned post-production to get their film out into the world.
3 Chicks Flicks will be sponsoring the students to enter 3 film festivals with their film and covering costs of the showing at the school. Their film got into all three film festivals and won 1.
In the future, we will be establishing a summer camp that is free.
Flicks Camp is a transformative film-making camp designed for kids aged 12-20. Flicks Camp aims to inspire creativity, cultivate storytelling skills, and provide a platform for young filmmakers to explore and express their unique voices. It will hopfully be run out of the Warwick Valley Community Center in Warwick, NY. This is a building that provides both indoor and outdoor space that is more then adequate for the camps needs.
Flicks Camp is an eight week-long immersive experience where participants will learn, the fundamentals of filmmaking, from scriptwriting to post-production. Our dedicated team of industry professionals and educators will guide the participants through hands-on activities, fostering collaboration and nurturing their passion for storytelling through film.
We seek to empower young minds: Provide a supportive environment for participants to develop confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Skill development: Equip participants with practical filmmaking skills, including scriptwriting, cinematography, editing, and teamwork.
Inclusivity: Foster a diverse and inclusive community, ensuring accessibility for participants from various backgrounds.
All this will help foster better life choices. Since kids in this age group are at a high risk of beginning drug or alcohol abuse, prevention is key. We strive to give them life tools in a fun environment to stay away from bad choices.
